Proof of age will be required for complimentary Point beer. Please have an ID or your race bib number handy.
Q. Where can I park for the race?
A. Ample parking is available a short distance from the Brewery at Player’s Lounge on the corner of Church and Rice Streets and the Ruth Gilfrey Building on Whiting Avenue. There is parking behind the Brewery onHenrietta St.and in the lot across from the front of brewery onWater St. Parking is also available on other streets near the Brewery . Parking will not be allowed on the course. See MAP.
Q – Are strollers allowed?
A – Although strollers are allowed, in the interest of safety and for the enjoyment of you and other runners around you, they are strongly discouraged. If you do run with a stroller, you will be asked to start towards the back of the pack.
Q. Is there a division for walkers?
A. Walkers are welcome, but there is no formal division for walkers. In order for all competitors to have a fair and safe race course we ask that walkers line at the back of the runners at the start and walk only two abreast.
Q. Can I run with my dog?
A. In the interest of safety and fairness to all participants, we ask that you keep your furry friends at home. Dogs are not allowed in the tent or on the course. Again, we ask that you keep your dog at home.
Q. How do the door prizes work?
A. The door prizes will be selected during the run. Check the “door prize board” in the tent to see if your race number was drawn. You must present your bib to claim your prize.
Q. Can spectators participate in the post-race festivities?
A. Of course they can. The Stevens Point Brewery will be selling beer and root beer and invites all to sample their specialty brews.
Q. How does packet pick up work?
A. Packets can be picked up the night before the run in the large tent onWater Streetacross the street from the Brewery. Race day packet pickup and registration will also be in the tent.
Q. What types of facilities are available pre and post race?
A. A large, heated tent will be open to runners and spectators before , during and after the race. The tent will be adjacent to the new Start/Finish line onWater Street. Several porta-potties will be available adjacent to the tent near the Start/Finish line.
Q. Will there be fluids on the course?
A. Water will be provided on the course at the corner of West River Drive and County Highway HH at approximately 3.25 miles. The water will be available ONLY to runners that are inbound.
Q. How will results be posted?
A. Preliminary results will be posted in the tent and on the Brewery garage as runners finish. Results will be posted online shortly after the completion of the run.
Q. What are the age groups?
A. There are 5-year age groups for male and female runners. There are also male and female BigBock and Dopplebock divisions. The registration form provides information on the specific age groups.
Q. How do I claim my award?
A. If you’re talented or lucky enough to win an award, you can claim it at the award ceremony in the tent. No speeches please! Awards may be claimed on race day only and will not be mailed. Please stay for the ceremony.
Q. Will the BigBock and Dopplebock division entrants have to weigh in?
A. No, unless you win and then only if you look like a skinny runner!
Q. What’s the post-race party all about?
A. Enjoy music, complimentary Stevens Point Brewery specialty beers and root beer, snacks and camaraderie in the heated tent adjacent to the Start/Finish line. Burgers, brats, hot dogs, French fries, etc. will be available for purchase.
